Open call for short films

This year, the Ruhrtriennale once again invites ten young artists and filmmakers to show their short films in the Third Space at the centre of the festival.

The Ruhrtriennale is the international festival of the arts in the Ruhr Metropolis. The
settings of the Ruhrtriennale are industrial monuments of the Ruhr district, which are
transformed every year in the context of the festival into special performance venues
for music, theatre, literature, dance and visual arts.

We are interested in works that deal with the negotiation of social processes, which take imbalances in power into account and which address the negotiation and overwriting of supposedly “normal” patterns. The focus is on the space between the individual positions and persons, the negotiation and the relationship.

max. 15 minutes.

Films can be submitted in any language, however English subtitles are required.

No entry fee

Screening fee:
100 € (gross) will be paid to filmmaker
