Open call for young musicians
Deadline: 31th of May 2019OPEN CALL is for young musicians, performers, artistic researchers, and anybody else interested in presenting his/her project in the Forum Platform.
We welcome
proposals, particularly those relating to the following subjects
– Improvisation and music creation ;
– Pedagogies for and with the instrument;
– Instruments performance techniques;
– 21st century repertoire;
–Mediterranean music ;
– Extended techniques on instruments ;
– Interactions between instrument and electronics;
– Performance and Performer;
– Instrument recordings – history, analysis, recording techniques;
-Chamber Music
-Women music creation
-Music Creation and Entrepreneurship
Besides the proposals that specifically address the main thematic line, proposals that centre on performance practices as research are particularly welcome. Lecture-recitals are the most natural format for these proposals.
Papers (up to 20 minutes): Abstracts must refer to the main focus of the presentation and should not exceed 350 words. A short CV of the presenter/s (up to 100 words) and any technical requirements for presentation must be uploaded to the submission platform
Lecture Recitals (up to 45 minutes): Abstracts (up to 350 words) should include information regarding the entire duration of the presentation – the oral presentation and the performance. The submission should also include an audio/video link (e.g. YouTube) of the proposed performance (the file can be uploaded to YouTube as ‘unlisted’, ‘private’ or ‘public’). The link, any technical requirements for presentation, and a short artistic CV of the presenter/s (up to 100 words) must be included in the ‘other documents’ field on the submission platform.
Recitals (up to 30 minutes): Abstracts (up to 350 words) should include information regarding the main goal of the recital and the program. The submission should also include an audio/video link (e.g. YouTube) of the proposed performance (the archive can be uploaded as ‘unlisted’, ‘private’ or ‘public’). The link, any technical requirements for presentation, and a short artistic CV of the presenter/s (up to 100 words) must be included in the ‘other documents’ field on the submission platform.
Presentation of Projects: The organising committee does not stipulate any particular requirement for this submission category – apart from the limit of 350 words for abstracts. However, the inclusion of information regarding context, objectives, methods and results of the specific project is recommended.
