Art residency in Norway

ALDEA is a creative ecosystem that aims to foster the creative ambitions of our open community. Professional grade workshops (metal, wood, digital fabrication), gallery, working studios, residency program and online cultural management systems are all part of our broad set of resources. Innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship across art, design, and technology is at the core of our methodical approach used to push creative boundaries.

Aldea is offering the opportunity to undertake a one-month residency for three artists and an additional exhibition in the Aldea gallery.

The selected artists will be housed within a 15-minute walk from the downtown core in the beautiful Christinegård Villa. It has a fully equipped kitchen, functional fireplace, large shared bathroom, multiple living rooms, large balcony and front yard. It has one of the best views in Bergen, Norway situated atop one of the many mountains surrounding Bergen overlooking the Norwegian Fjords.

The residency is not open for Norwegian residents.

No entry fee

Residency offers:
- a single room inside the Villa
- Artist Fee 6000 NOK
- Travel expenses maximum 5000 NOK
- Shipping expenses maximum 2000 NOK
- Production Fee 4000 NOK
- Free access to the Aldea workshops
- In addition, the group will be given 2500 NOK to employ a text writer for their exhibition.
