10. IN OUT FESTIVAL 2016 - call for applications

This year we invite artists to take part in the open competition for experimental, video, documentary and animations. This year's edition is dedicated to "Theatricality". Applications shall be sent by 27th of March 2016. Films shall fulfil the following requirements: created with any technique; duration: from 1 to 20 minutes; the film should be produced between 2014 and 2016.

Awards:
- The first award PLN 5 000.00 funded by the the Marshal of the Pomorskie Voivodeship, Mieczysław Struk.
- The second award PLN 4 000.00 funded by Laznia CCA.
- Moreover, the Jury shall award special mentions.

IN OUT Festival is ongoing since 2005. This year’s edition aims to take closer look at the subject of what can theatre and theatricality represent for video art and visual artists, and what can video and video makers represent for theatre. How does the theatre’s function change in new media’s field of influence? Do theatrical strategies work in connection with other media – and how? And finally: how can we theatricalise moving image?

Within Festival there is an open competition for works of experimental, video, documentary, and animations. The competiton has two stages, during the first one, until 8th of April 2016 the jury will choose 20 artists whose works would qualify to the second stage and those will be presented during the reviews and exhibition in CCA Łaźnia. Artists will be invited to Gdańsk.
