Open call for video art

Deadline: 5th December 2019

All artists, artistic groups and designers from all over the world are invited to participate in an Open Call for proposals of videoart pieces. Works, selected by the jury will be shown on the media facade (2200 m2 !!!) of Yeltsin Center (Ekaterinburg, Russia). The contest takes place within the framework of Pixels Fest - a new initiative aimed at broadening the frameworks of digital media art in urban environment.

Theme for 2019-2020: Digital Utopias
The international jury will select 15 artworks that will be demonstrated on the media faсade during the festival.

Categories of the Contest:
Generative video-art
2D and 3D animation made by digital/mostly digital means
Other types of animation/video-art (frame-by-frame, classical, collage etc.).

No entry fee

Prizes:
3 winners will receive the prize of 140 000 rubles (approx. $2000) and an invitation to come to Yekaterinburg for the award ceremony.
