Photography competition

The competition is open to amateur and professional photographers from around the world. Anyone over the age of 18 is eligible.

The competition is organized by the UAE National Committee on SDGs, in collaborations with the Hamdan bin Mohammad Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA).

The UAE SDG Photography Award recognizes the immense power of images, to helping us raise awareness as a globally community reach the goals of a better world in unique way. The award was created to use a visual medium towards advancing awareness, and achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

SDGs related to People are:
SDG 1 – No Poverty
SDG 2 – Zero Hunger
SDG 3 – Good Health and Wellbeing
SDG 4 – Quality Education
SDG 5 – Gender Equality

SDGs related to Prosperity are:
SDG 7 - Affordable and Clean Energy
SDG 8 - Decent Work and Economic Growth
SDG 9 - Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
SDG 10 - Reduced Inequalities
SDG 11 - Sustainable Cities and Communities,

SDGs related to Planet are:
SDG 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation
SDG 12 - Responsible Consumption and Production
SDG 13 - Climate Change
SDG 14 - Life below Water
SDG 15 -Life on Land

The SDG related to Peace:
SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

The SDG related to Partnerships:
SDG 17 - Partnerships for the Goals

You may submit up to one (1) Photo  in each relevant category of the Competition, except the Portfolio category (People) where you can submit between 5 – 10 Photo(s);

No entry fee

Prize:
$5,000 in each category
