Alchemy Film & Moving Image Festival is an international festival of experimental film and artists’ moving image. Submissions of artists’ and experimental film from any part of the world are welcome – we celebrate a diverse range of works: the visually experimental, quietly poetic, formally radical, psycho-geographical, politically activist, culturally subversive, psycho-spiritual, the alchemically volatile, the underground and the bizarre. Conventional or commercial-style narrative dramas, animations and documentaries are less likely to be successful – unless they are truly original in form and content.

For 2019, we will be paying screening fees of £20 to participating artists for each selected work.

Works made between 2017 and 2019 will be prioritised by our reviewers.

We are open to submissions of any subject matter.

Entry fee: earlybird entry fee of just £5(approx $7/€6) for each submission before 30th September 2018. For entries recieved after that date, the fee is £8 per entry.
