Art Residency in Canada

The Bentway Conservancy is pleased to announce our second annual Artist Residency program. The 2020 artist residency will focus on The Bentway’s identity as a public space and “living lab” that supports both cultural engagement and physical activity. From free yoga and ice skating, to art installations and public performances, The Bentway is a space where art and recreation meet in ever-evolving ways.

This is a remarkable opportunity for an artist, designer or collective to participate in an open-ended research-based project that contributes to the evolution of The Bentway as both a creative platform and public space.

Applications are open to Toronto-based artists, designers or collectives seeking an opportunity to discover and create within this dynamic public space.

Applicants must be an artist, designer or collective whose practice has previously included
public presentation.

No entry fee

Residency offers:
- A monthly stipend of $1,850
- funds to support the cost of production.
- access to The Bentway’s facilities for storage,
- institutional and execution support
