Originally inspired by the case of Kosovo, where the education system was structured in the mid-1970s, Summer School as School is designed to bring together and disseminate critical knowledge and address relevant challenges of today, implementing new models and possibilities in art education and artistic collaboration.

Presently, Summer School as School is the leading regional collaborative platform in art and discourse production, and a model that unites the capacity of the region of Southeastern Europe, engaged international faculty and partner institutions to produce and disseminate a inter-disciplinary model of education and art collaboration.

After running for the past years to much success, this year’s Summer School builds its agenda upon the various perspectives and experiences that theoretically and practically reflect and challenge the ongoing regional history and its connections to broader art, political and societal developments. Through situations that escape the normal limits, Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina with Summer School as a School seeks to intertwine knowledge and (re)position the region of Southeast Europe in relation to its international and global coordinates.
