We believe that each person has its way to Feel and contribute to the world with different ways of expressing it through Creative Arts. That is why we are promoting a New Talents Contest.

Six different Disciplines:

Story: Between 500 and 1.000 words long in the Spanish, English or French languages and about any of the Feelings or Attitudes specifically proposed in this section.

Illustration: Color drawing of a Character that identifies with the Feelings or Attitudes specifically proposed in this Section.

Comic: Between 3 and 6 sheets in DINA4 size, without any texts inside, either in black and white or in color, and concerning any of the Feelings or Attitudes specifically proposed in this section.

Optional: The Comic may consist of several vignettes i.e. comic drawings with descriptive-reflective texts underneath them that help us understand the Comic as well as make us Think and Feel.

Fashion: Design of a garment (from a Sock to a Haute Couture clothing), using contents from our website: Logos, Characters, enlarged/modified vignettes or parts of those vignettes or concerning any of the Feelings or Attitudes specifically proposed by ME&MYLIFE in this section.

Jewels: 3D design, concerning any of the Feelings or Attitudes specifically proposed in this section.

Music: Instrumental, vocal and/or mixed musical composition, in any language, concerning any Feeling or Attitude specifically proposed in this section.

Open call for illustrators

Deadline: 15 February 2020

Authors, illustrators and artists of any nationality, place of origin or residence may participate, with original and unpublished projects, provided they are not less than 18 years old on 15th February 2020.

It is possible to participate with one to a maximum of three unpublished projects for each Author.

The book project must not contain words, with exclusion of the title and possible subtitle. The narration must be realized exclusively through the illustrations and have narrative and stylistic coherence. There are no limits regarding age or reader group, and the subject matter is open.

The illustrations featured in the book projects can be in colour or black and white, with unlimited traditional or digital techniques and media.

Residency program for writers, researchers & text-based artists
at Arteles Creative Center in Hämeenkyrö, Finland

Enter Text is an international residency program for writers, researchers and artists working with text. The program brings together a diverse group of writers & artists from various backgrounds, with different ways of applying text & language in their work.


Novels & short stories, research & non-fiction, poetry & spoken word, comic art & graphic novels, playwriting & screenwriting, text art & calligraphy, typography & asemic writing…


At Arteles, artists are given the freedom to create and deepen their focus in a stress-free environment. Share ideas and approaches, form collaborations and gain fresh perspective to your usual practice, without the pressure of producing a finalized body of work.

As well as for connecting and experimenting with other writers & artists, the residency can be used for concentrating intensively on your ongoing work/research, starting a brand new project, or stopping to contemplate your practice and being. Participation in group activities is voluntary, allowing you to barricade into your writer's chamber anytime you want.

The competition is open to all writers around the world whether published or unpublished. Entrants must be over 16 years old on the closing date, May 1st 2019.

Stories can be on any theme or subject and are welcome in any style including graphic, verse or genre-based (Crime, Science Fiction, Fantasy, Historical, Romance, Children’s etc.). The maximum length of submissions is 4,000 words, there is no minimum length. All entries must be in English.

This manga, comic and illustration contest is open to students enrolled in an Art/Design school, technical/vocational school, school art club, or extracurricular art program. Submit your work for a chance to win a cash prize, creative software, pen display tablet and even a chance for your artwork to be featured in media publications! Artists are free to use any art medium to create their submission. Submissions must be unpublished original artworks that have not won other contests and must be suitable for all ages. The goal of the MCPO (Manga Contents Promote Organization) is to actively research,
domestically and internationally, new manga which has the potential for success, and promote it worldwide.
A contest for artists aiming at going professional, artists who want to test their own potential,
artists hoping to confirm the direction of current trends, artists looking for a challenge, or anyone looking to work in earnest.
Both professionals and amateurs are welcome to apply. (Teams are also welcome).

Australian Book Review welcomes entries in the 2019 ABR Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Prize, one of the world’s leading prizes for an original short story. The ABR Elizabeth Jolley Short Story Prize is worth a total of $12,500. Entry is open to anyone in the world who is writing in English. Entries must be a single story of 2,000 to 5,000 words in length.

ABR will publish the three shortlisted stories in the 2019 August Fiction Issue and announce the overall winner at a special event later that month. Three commended stories will also be published later in the year.

Entries must be original works of fiction written by an individual author.

We are looking for comics on the added value of the European Union. What are the advantages of the European Union? What did the EU do well according to you – in general terms or in your personal experience? Anyone is welcome to participate! Grant and Prize - The seven finalists who will be selected by the jury at the end of phase I of the competition will receive a grant of €800 to complete their graphic short story.

The winner of the competition will receive €500. The prize will be awarded mid-July 2017 at a ceremony at the Belgian Comic Center in Brussels, Belgium.
