
18-day scholarship in Berlin
Deadline: 8 December 2019The International Forum is a 18-day scholarship programme of the Theatertreffen in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut and Pro Helvetia that promotes young artists from all parts of the world.
The open call is aimed at artists interested in theatre up to the age of 35 from all artistic disciplines. The International Forum sees itself as a platform for comprehensive theoretical and practical exchange. The programme includes the presentation of the invited artists and their aesthetic practice in lectures, the participation in workshops held by renowned artists, experts from various disciplines and scholars, opportunities to see theatre productions invited to Theatertreffen and Stückemarkt, open space events and discussions on contemporary art as well as excursions into the diverse cultural landscape of Berlin.
The programme includes the presentation of the invited artists and an exchange of their artistic practices, opportunities to see productions invited to the Theatertreffen as well as the staged readings and performances of the Stückemarkt and to attend workshops held by renowned artists, experts and
researchers from various disciplines, open space events and discussions on current trends in contemporary art as well as excursions into the diverse cultural landscape of Berlin.
No entry fee
Scholarship includes:
- tickets to Theatertreffen-performances and selected Stückemarkt-events
- travel expenses (full coverage / partial coverage / no coverage – depending on country of origin, most economic travel option)
- expenses for travel within Berlin by public transport
- hotel accommodation incl. breakfast (excluding fellows who are residents in Berlin)
- per diem (according to the performance agreement, this depends on the country of origin and does not apply to fellows who are residents in Berlin)
- catering

The scholarship association Otte1- Schleswig-Holsteinisches Künstlerhaus awards 27 scholarships by the ministry of education of Schleswig-Holstein eyery year- subject to the courage of state budjet. Candidates from the field of fine arts, music and literature can apply.
The scholarships are awarded as work-scholarships for a different number of months. The application is by portfolio. The scholarships do not necessarily have be project based, research and elaboration work is also funded.
No entry fee
The monthly scholarship value is 700 Euros.
