Residency for dance artists

Bora Bora Residency Centre welcomes proposals from professional dance artists for projects to be researched and/or developed in season 2020-21 (August 2020 to June 2021). There are 6 residencies open to professional dance artists or dance ensembles or stage directors with a strong choreographic idea from all over the world. In addition, it is possible for Danish or Danish-based artists to apply for consideration for our international and nordic residency programmes, which are based on exchanges with our Residency Centre partners

A fee of 875 euro per week per artist
Communication services as part of the Bora Bora Community with online artists database, listing in newsletter and follow up listings about future residencies, co-production and premieres in the years to come

CALL FOR PROJECTS - Residency for filmmakers

Deadline: 15 December 2019

The Atelier 105 residency seeks to give experimental filmmakers access to professional post-production facilities that are often out of their reach. A fully-equipped workspace located in Light Cone's premises gives artists access to a film scanner for the digitization of 16mm & 35mm film in 2K & 4K, an editing station, sound mixing hardware and software, a color-correction monitor, as well as dedicated computers for encoding video files and DCPs. This equipment has been designated by professionals to allow filmmakers to have the best possible tools at their disposal. The filmmaker-in-residence also has full access to Light Cone's documentation center and screening room.

A technical manager specialized in digital post-production is on hand to assist the filmmaker. Filmmakers are free to work alone or accompanied by their technicians. At the beginning of the residency, Light Cone's technical manager can offer training for the available software. The filmmakers who have been selected are also able to consult in advance in order to select the formats that are most compatible with the available software.

"Art and Money: What's the Point?" is a call dedicated to film projects that address the relationship between artistic expression and money (understood as a market, as patronage, as a resource or in any other sense).

Winners will receive a cash prize and participation in an event in Siena, Italy, that will develop as a meeting with professional producers and directors.

Looking for audiovisual projects of any kind and duration on the theme "Art and money";

From among the projects received, a commission will select the three best ones (divided in rankings: first, second and third), whose authors will have the opportunity to develop their projects together with international directors and producers. The meeting will be held in English;
The meeting will be held in Siena on 8 June 2019;
The purpose of the meeting is to offer authors a dialogue with film professionals, to help them develop their projects and create potential new synergies with producers.

Awards & Prizes
The first prizewinner will receive a cash prize of 500 euros, the second prizewinner will receive 300 euros and the third prizewinner will receive 200 euros.

Additionally to the cash prize, winners will be offered the opportunity to take part in a dialogue with film professionals, to help them develop their projects and create potential new synergies with producers.
The three winners will be guaranteed accommodation for one night and one day and a flat-rate reimbursement of 50 euros for the trip to Siena, Italy.
