four-week art residency

The Parent Grant is a four-week residency for an artist with at least one dependent child under the age of 18. Artists may choose to work in any of our studio disciplines: intaglio, letterpress, papermaking, screenprinting, photography, or ceramics.

Residency offers:
$1450 childcare stipend, up to $250 for travel costs, free onsite housing, and 24/7 studio access. WSW can also provide technical advice and production assistance.

Craft prize

The LOEWE FOUNDATION launches the fourth edition of the LOEWE FOUNDATION Craft Prize, an international award celebrating excellence in craftsmanship.
The LOEWE FOUNDATION seeks to recognize uniquely talented artisans whose artistic vision and will to innovate set new standards for the future of craft.

All participants must be professional artisans of 18 years or older at the time of the submission of entries.
Entries may be made by an individual or collective (as a ‘group submission’). Businesses and mercantile
companies of any kind are excluded. All nationalities are welcome.
Each participant can present either one single piece of work or one series of works, understood as
a number of objects considered as a single artistic creation (henceforth, ‘the Work’). This should fall
within an area of the applied arts and, as a guide, within the following categories: ceramics, bookbinding, enamelwork, jewellery, lacquer, metal, furniture, leather, textiles, glass, wood, paper, etc.

Art residency in Portugal

The NAVE Center of Arts announces to artists, artistic groups, professors, researchers,
producers and show technicians, that, from July 5, 2019 to August 9, 2019, the registration for
the submission of integrating the schedule of the cultural center, during the period from 16
September 2019 to 17 July 2020. The areas of interest are visual arts, performing arts, music,
creative writing, fashion and handicrafts.

The artistic residency programs of the NAVE Centre of Arts intends to build connections,
encourage dialogues, incentivize the creation and innovation of artistic languages and creative
processes, enable the production and dissemination of research works, presentations and
works of art, mediate the exchange of knowledge and experiences, and promote the
enjoyment the art and strengthen its social dynamics.

Applications will be accepted for projects in the areas of visual arts, performing arts, music,
creative writing, fashion and handicrafts

The period of artist residency will have a minimum duration of 1 (one) and maximum
of 3 (three) months.


The NAVE Center of Arts is responsible for:
• Collecting and storing, for the purposes of this residency program, personal and
professional information of applicants over 18 years old as discolsed by the applicant
in the application form;
• Protecting and preserving such information in order not to expose, share, provide or
transmit it to third parties, above all, without the prior written permission of
applicants;
• Opening judicial proceedings against those who violate or attempt to violate the
database in which the applicant's personal and professional information is contained;
• Offering a workspace and shared accommodation, as well as basic support for the
production, promotion, visual production of the eletronic invitation and flyer printing,
getting other materials and services on behalf of the resident;
• Establishing the programme agenda, as well as its distribution throughout the artist
residency program;
• Mediating or acting interviews or other proposals for coverage, promotion, adverste or
showcase of the work and the information of products resulting from the development
of the artistic residency program, if there the opportunity arises,;

Open call for exhibition in Mexico
