The Platform for the Promotion of Multi-original Art organises The Fourth International PrintMaking Biennial in Cacak, in 2020.
The Platform, as the coordinator of the Biennale, maintains the previous Biennale’s good practice of:
•identifying and following contemporary tendencies within the field of printmaking;
•endorsing medium expansion including use of modern methods of printing, contemporary technologies and theory concepts;
•promoting young authors and their work.
The Biennial aim is to provide regional and international artists with institutional support for their professional development, to induce and elevate interest in this artistic discipline among other artists and cultural workers, as well as a larger audience.


The competition is open to all professional artists, theoreticians and researchers, as well as final year undergraduate students of Faculties of fine and applied arts

No thematic restrictions


Each author is free to compete in one or more exhibition categories and program segments.
To apply for  the Biennale's main exhibition, authors can send:
• a maximum of 3 large-format artworks, up to 100 cm on the longer side, or
• a maximum of 5 small-f  ormat artworks, up to 30 cm on the longer side 

Artists are invited to apply with spatial and ambient installations, interventions in public space, videos filmed as segments of printmaking production or as an independent work based on the printmaking discipline character, objects, artists' books, works printed on various surfaces, or other work that represents
multi/interdisciplinary, hybrid, experimental, or discursive approach to printmaking.


For the additional Ex libris exhibition artists can apply with:

maximum 5 artworks no larger than 15x15cm

Special exhibition category of the Biennial is the exhibition of undergraduate students’ artwork. Final year
undergraduate students can apply for the competition with:
• a maximum of 3 large-format prints, longer side up to 100 cm, or
• a maximum of 5 small-format prints, longer side up to 30 cm
