The main segments of the festival will be European Short films but we also welcome films from outside of Europe for our International Panorama strand of the festival.

Please note this year we are pleased to annouce that we welcome animations as we are aiming to include a major part of our festival to celebrate the art of animation.

All animation formats welcome under 15 mins maximum.Kinofilm™ –  has been celebrating the talents of emerging and established filmmakers since 1995 through the Manchester International Short Film Festival.™ presented as and produced by ‘Manchester International Film Festival’®.

In addition we champion the art and diversity of short film with our monthly short film events Kino Shorts™ with occassional debut feature screenings and film education events.

Submissions are open on FilmFreeway Entries will be opened shortly on our other partner sites, Without a Box, Festival Focus, and Festhome.
