The Ashurst Emerging Artist Prize was founded in October 2014 to further build on the programme. Following its success in its 1st year, we launched it for its 2nd year with larger prizes, an additional Sculpture Prize and greater emphasis on reaching out to many more artists and helping them by promoting early entries and hosting informative talks.

There are no restrictions based on age, training or nationality.

Artwork size must be less than 275cm x 275cm x 50cm for artworks to be hung on the wall, and less than 275cm x 275cm x 200cm for sculptures.

You can submit up to 5 different artworks, of any medium from paintings, photography, mixed media, sculpture, etc.

Paintings, drawings, original prints, photography, sculptures, digitally produced artworks and mixed media constructions are accepted.

Video art, sound art and the moving image are not accepted in this competition.


Entry fee:
£20 for first artwork, then £10 per additional artwork.
