Biennial of drawing 2020

The organizer of the event is OSTEN Skopje, North Macedonia. The Biennial is rather focused on a contemporary drawing, but in its widest interpretation. Feel free to submit your most innovative and creative works. Only original works are eligible for submission (not photos of the works).

Art conference

The fourth international conference "Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science" will take place November 26–28, 2020, in Austria, hosted by the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Including theoretical and art practice presentations, TTT2020 continues to focus (a) on questions about the nature of the forbidden and aesthetics of liminality as expressed in art that uses or is
inspired by technology and science, and (b) on the opening of spaces for creative transformation in the merging of science and art.

Submissions are welcome from all art and research fields and cutting-edge technology in arts-based research. Suggested, but not exclusive topics, are those associated with: Biopunk, hybridity and aesthetics of mutation; Cyborg, augmentation and bοdy modification; Post-gender, transgressive identities and social models; Psychopharmacology, somatechnology, and post-humanism; Chemistry of the mind, natural healers, and mind enhancement; Biotechnology, DIYbio, and biohacking; Ethology, human and nonhuman; Evolution, genetics, and extended evolutionary synthesis; Cyber-eroticism, sex technology, and techno-lust; Biopolitics, displacement, and resistance.

Taboo - Transgression - Transcendence in Art & Science reminds applicants that this conference was formed with the intention to allow for non-restrictive topics and discussions. TTT expects authors to delve into the most obscure, pathological, visionary and/or licentious lines of questioning. So if you have topics that touch on the deepest taboos in art and technology studies, transgressions to reveal that cause seismic activity on the fault-lines of the art and science divide, or even seemingly unmentionable, cultish, transcendental SciArt visions to impart upon us, then this is the venue to allow those novel subterranean and of the beyond whispers come out loud. TTT2020 offers a platform to engage in an openly liminal discussion. This is your chance to present concepts deemed: difficult, un-sutured, challenging, giddy, tawdry, festering, elated, illuminated, libidinal, queer, unpalatable, convulsive, feral and mutagenic. Please let TTT be an echo chamber of fearless ideation and know that this is a space for free range concepts and raw cognition unencumbered by topical limits.


The conference language is English. Proposals are submitted for consideration to the members of the scientific and artistic committee.

Photography contest

Deadline: 6 January 2020

The competition is open to everyone between 14 and 25 years old, regardless of his or her country of residence.

The photographs must accurately reflect the theme, "Reveal the Silk Roads", through representations of Gastronomy and Food Production, Music and Dance, and Traditional Sports and Games

Maximum of 20 photographs per artist

Prizes
In each age category, three photographs will be awarded:

1st prize: A professional digital single-lens reflex camera equipped with 18-55mm lens
2nd prize: Semi-professional digital camera
3rd prize: Digital camera

In addition, winners will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the award ceremony.

Prizes
The overall winner will receive € 2,500.
Each of the category winners will receive € 500.
The Junior Award winner will receive € 500 and Olympus camera equipment worth € 1,700

2. The Entrant guarantees that the work entered for the competition is original and that he or she is the sole owner of the exploitation rights attached to this work. As such, the Entrant shall personally obtain permission from any third parties [both actual persons featured, and third parties that may claim intellectual property rights to the aforementioned photographs or videos (for example, photographs or videos featuring architectural monuments or sculpture)] having participated directly or indirectly in producing the work and/or who believes themselves to hold any right whatsoever concerning it. In the event of a third party claim, the Entrant will be liable for any eventual payments resulting therefrom.



3. Artists must be over 18 years old


4. Only completed entries will be taken under evaluation


5.  Artists give unlimited in time permission to the ArtOpenCalls to publish images or videos sent by artist in the selection process:
